Ayia Napa - QUICK FACTS

Ayia Napa is the largest tourist resort in Cyprus, with a 27,000-person-bed capacity and more than 175 hotels and apartments of all sizes.

Ayia Napa welcomes over half a million tourists annually and accommodates around 5 million overnight stays annually (that’s approximately 30% of ALL overnight stays in Cyprus).

The resort has 27 beaches, of which the vast majority have been awarded the Blue Flag award (meaning they are super clean and safe), and it has more than any other resort in Cyprus.

Cyprus has the second-highest number of Blue Flags in the world, with Nissi Beach in Ayia Napa regularly topping the TripAdvisor list of the best beaches in Europe.

Nissi Beach is also one of the most popular beaches on Instagram.

Ayia Napa also has a pretty little and quite traditional fishing harbour surrounded by beautiful restaurants, a large WaterPark called WaterWorld and a brand new Marina. Both are around 8 kilometres out of town and can be reached by car or bus in about 8 to 10 minutes.

The resort town comes alive between April and October each year, with August and September being the busiest months.

The weather in Ayia Napa is fantastic most of the year, but it gets super hot in the summer. Temperatures can reach 40 degrees during the summer months and remain in the late 20s and early 30s at night in August and for the first few weeks of September. Perfect for late-night partying!

Ayia Napa is sunny almost every day and is a fantastic place to live, work, or visit if you live for sunny days and party nights.
